Pre-Screening Precautions
Fasting
1. please start fasting after 12 midnight the day before the screening (including water and chewing gum).
What to bring when checking in for examination
1.【National health insurance IC card】
2.【Stool sampling】Please use a cotton swab to collect a stool sample (about a peanut size) the day before the examination. Place the sample in a sample bottle and keep in the fridge to cool. Hand in the sample to health secretary when checking in for examination.
3.【Urine sampling】Please collect a midstream specimen of urine (about 8cc) in the morning on the day of screening. Place the sample in a sample tube and put a red plastic lid on. Hand in the sample to health secretary when checking in for screening.
4.【Health questionnaire】Please complete the questionnaire before the testing starts to help our medical staffs understand your health conditions.
5.【Consent form】Guests taking a gastroscopy and colonoscopy examination need to read and fill in the related consent form.
Please bring along any medications you are taking (including anti-hypertensive drugs) for doctors’ reference.
1. Do not take an oral hypoglycemic drug or inject insulin in the treatment of diabetes in the morning on the day of screening. But, please bring along for taking when completed the medical tests.
2. Guests taking a gastroscopy and colonoscopy examination need to temporarily stop taking oral anticoagulant in the treatment of heart disease (such as Aspirin products or Plavix) 3-5 days before the examination for a biopsy.
Others
1. For women: please notify us in advance if you are pregnant or suspected of being pregnant. Please do not make an appointment for X-ray examination, Pap smear test, vaginal ultrasound (invasive), and gastroscopy and colonoscopy examination. If you are on period and are unable to be examined, please notify us in advance and we will arrange another date for the screening.
2.「Exercise electrocardiography」or 「Physical fitness examination」: please wear sneakers or sports shoes.
3.「Painless gastroscopy and colonoscopy examination (under anesthesia)」: please do not wear lipstick and nail polish for the convenience of administering anesthetic and observation.
4. What to wear: please do not wear contact lens as intraocular pressure will be measured on the day of screening. Please do not bring along or wear valuable objects, we will provide the guests with an new suit of clothes for screening for free of charge.
5. Health screening healthy meals: if you are a vegan, please notify us in advance.
6. Others: a free parking slot is offered on the day of the health screening. If you need to reschedule or cancel appointment, please notify us at least 3 days before checkup.
● A reminder; please check in on time and really comply with all the rules in the notice section to ensure a smooth examination process and an improvement in accuracy.
● Please bring along your identity card, health insurance card, cash or credit card for the examination. Please do not bring any valuable objects with you.
● If a biopsy is needed during the endoscopy examination, an additional charge is required.
● If any additional tests are required apart from the tests listed in your package, the costs for these tests will be on a fixed-price basis specified by the center.

CT (Computer Tomography) Scan – Pre-Screening Precautions
1. Please do not wear any accessories on the day of screening, including necklace, ring, bracelet, and so on.
2. Guests taking a coronary computed tomography angiography and upper abdominal examinations must empty stomach and will inject contrast agent. Please fast(excluding water) for at least 4 hours before the screening.
3. Examinations require contrast agent injection including coronary computed tomography angiography, upper abdominal or doctors have assessed. Guests need to bring kidney function blood test report within 3 months for screening need. If guests cannot prepare the report in advance, they can have blood test same day on site, the processing time is approximately 40 ~ 60 minutes.
4. Guest suffer from hyperthyroidism and are not fit to be injected contrast agent containing iodine, please notify medical staffs in advance.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Scan – Pre-Screening Precautions
1. Please do not wear accessories or hairpins on the day of the examination (especially metal accessories).
2. Please do not use hair spray products to avoid artifacts that affect doctors’ interpretation of the reports.
3. Please notify the medical staffs if you have ever been hurt by metal scraps, bullets, or implanted with the following devices such as a cardiac pacemaker, cerebral vascular clip (or coil), artificial heart valve, and cochlear implant (guests with the above conditions are not suitable for MRI examination).
4. Please notify the medical staffs if you are implanted with surgical staples (sheets), artificial joints (prosthetics), intrauterine contraceptive devices, portable hearing aids, and dentures or braces.
5. Guests taking an upper abdominal examination must empty stomach and injected contrast agent. Please fast at least 6 hours (including water) before screening.
6. Examinations need injection contrast agent including nasopharyngeal, upper abdominal, pelvic, breast tests or doctors have assessed. Guests need to bring kidney function blood test report within 3 months for screening need. If guests cannot prepare the report in advance, they can have blood test same day on site, the processing time is approximately 40 ~ 60 minutes.
7. Breast MRI examination needs to coordinate with menstrual cycle. Please call us for consultation on the first day of period to arrange proper examination date for you.
8. Please stop taking all hormone drugs three months before breast MRI examination such as lutein and birth control pills, and nutritional supplements containing estrogens such as royal jelly, lecithin, evening primrose oil (borage oil), soy isoflavones, red clover, and North America cohosh.
